Workshop format

Workshops take the form of open classes for early stage, intermediate and advanced students. Your dedicated tutor will help you to explore new music, expand your technical ability and improve your performance confidence.  There will be lots of live performance opportunities during the five days including jam sessions, band rehearsals and the student showcase on the final day.

Workshops range from serious modern shredding techniques to classic and alternative rock styles. There are workshops for drummers, bassists and vocalists and there is an assisted places scheme for talented students without the financial means to attend.

All the venues are fully equipped with sound proofed rehearsal and recording studios, so whether you play solo or in a band the Ministry of Guitar rock camps are the place to work hard, have fun and take your playing to the next level.

During the week students can also get qualified with Rockschool

Plug in and play, showcase your skills and finish up with a Rockschool Award. A fully QCA Accredited Qualification, the award comprises two individual units aimed at assessing Live Performance and Instrumental aptitude. These qualifications are industry supported and will be fully integrated in to the regular workshop timetable. Simply completing a questionnaire, being observed by a tutor and undergoing brief assessment by a Rockschool moderator is all it takes! Families on income support or claiming family tax credits can apply for an assisted place.

To apply for assisted place please send an e-mail to info@igf.org.uk
